All birds represented are common to the surrounding area.

The Cafe entry has two Great White Egrets over the doorway.
One is 3' tall and the other is bent over. Total piece is 5' wide and about 1' deep.

A 4' high great blue heron surrounded by grasses is atop the entrance to the cafeteria.
The footprint of this piece will be triangular, almost bird like when viewed from above.

Sitting on top of the three second floor jutting hallway entrances are a series of 10' long sculptures that start at the center of the walls
with short grasses at the top edge.  The grasses gradually become taller and deeper,
about 21" tall and 12" deep at the jutting edge corner.  The footprint and shape of the sculptures mimics the action of the walls.
Goldfinch are perched on top of the grasses.  Goldfinch are perfect, not only because they are the state bird,
but because they are very graphic in their coloring.
